This was the easiest thing in the world and sure as h-e-double hockey sticks beats most frozen veggie burgers in the grocery stores-if not for flavor than for nutrition.
Today I needed something quick, tasty and filling for lunch and I'm proud to say I achieved it. I had about 1/3 of a black bean cake in the fridge, which turned out to be perfect because its so thick. I steamed it for 5-10 minutes and pan fried it to brown the outside. I laid my cheese on and built my burger with pride. Now, if you have more time, a marinade would only make it better. A smoky maple vinaigrette comes to mind but honestly, no need.
I paired the burger with a chipotle yogurt sauce, lettuce, and tomato.
This stuff is gold by the way...--->
Just add to your favorite mayo, yogurt or sour cream for this burger! Also, this burger would be wonderful with pickled jalapenos, avocado, fried/raw onions, and/or cilantro!
Enjoy!
